Short, practical answers to the things people ask us before they buy.
Matching Christmas outfits for you and your dog
The easiest way to match your dog at Christmas is to pick one theme (elf, Santa or a funny jumper) and buy both outfits together so the colours line up. Size your dog by back length and chest, size yourself as you would any dress or jumper, and order by Sunday 29 November for delivery before Christmas.
Christmas Jumper Day 2026: jumper ideas for dog and cat people
Christmas Jumper Day 2026 is on Thursday 10 December. It's Save the Children's yearly fundraiser: you wear a Christmas jumper and donate to the charity. If you're buying a jumper from us, order by Tuesday 17 November to have it in time.
Is it OK to put a Christmas costume on your dog?
For most dogs, a well-fitting costume worn for a few minutes of photos while you watch is fine. Take it off straight away if your dog freezes, tucks its tail, keeps trying to get it off, or can't move, see, hear, breathe or go to the toilet normally. Never leave a dog alone in a costume.
10 Christmas photo ideas with your dog
The best Christmas dog photos are taken at your dog's eye level, in daylight near a window, with a treat held just above the lens and the camera on burst mode. Ideas that work every year: the matching Christmas card, Santa's little arms, the tree helper, the present unwrap and the after-dinner nap.
